Theo L. Sambuaga

Has served as Commissioner at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on March 21, 2017 until the closing of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in 2020.
Joined the Lippo Group in 2004 as a Commissioner, currently Theo L. Sambuaga is President Commissioner of PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk (2018–present); Commissioner at PT Siloam International Hospital (2011–present); and Chairman of the Editorial Board of BeritaSatu Media Holdings (2016–present).
Mr. Theo L. Sambuaga was a Member of the Indonesian Parliament (1982–1998 and 2004–2009) and Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (1982–2009) for several terms; and has served as Deputy Chairman of Commission I (Foreign Affairs, Security, Defense, Information and Communication) DPR RI (1990–1994); Chairman of the Indonesian Parliamentary Cooperation Body (BKSAP) (1994–1997); Chairman of the Indonesian Parliamentary Development Work (Golkar) Faction (1997–1998); Secretary (1998–1999) and Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party of the Indonesian MPR (1999–2004); Chairman of PAH-AdHoc-I Committee (GBHN); Workers Body BP-RI MPR (1999); Member/Vice Chairman of PAH I-BP MPRI RI (Constitutional Amendment, 2000–2004); Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission I (2004–2009); and a Member of the Indonesian MPR Study Institute (2015–2019). Active in Golkar, he was consecutively elected as Deputy Secretary General (1993–1998); Chairperson (1998–2009); Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP (2009–2016), and as Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees (2016–present). In Government he was Minister of Manpower, Development Cabinet VII (1998); Minister of Housing and Settlements, Development Reform Cabinet (1998–1999).
He graduated from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) in 1977 and earned his Master’s Degree in International Public Policy (MIPP) from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), John Hopkins University, Washington DC, United States in 1990.
Mr Sambuaga is not affiliated with other members of the BOC, nor is he with members of the BOD and Controlling Shareholders.
