President Commissioner / Independent Commissioner
Prof. Didik J. Rachbini
Appointed as Commissioner based on the decision of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on March 21, 2017 until the closing of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in 2020. Since 2017 he has served as s an Independent Commissioner and in 2018 he was appointed as President Commissioner and also Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Company.
He has a broad reputation as one of the economists in Indonesia and founded the Institute for Economic and Financial Development (INDEF) in 1995. He is also a Lecturer and Professor of economics at Mercu Buana University, Jakarta, and lecturer at the University of Indonesia Postgraduate Program.
He was once Dean of the Faculty of Economics and the Vice Chancellor of Mercu Buana University. He was a two–term member
of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (1998–1999, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (2004– 2009), and was also the Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission VI for the same period. His broad range of activities in professional organizations includes as caretaker of the central board of the Indonesian Muslim Scholars Association (1995– present), of the Indonesian Economic Association (2009– present), of Federation of ASEAN Economic Associations (2009– present), of Kadin (chairman of LP3E, 2011–present), and as senior adviser to the International Tax and Investment Center, based in Washington, D.C. In government, he once served as Head of Business Competition Supervisory Commission (2000–2004), Member of the National Economic Committee (2012–2014).
Mr. Rachbini earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) in 1983, his Master of Science Degree in 1988 and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 1991 from Central Luzon State University, Philippines. He was also enrolled in nondegree courses at the University of the Philippines in Los Banos and Boston University.
Mr Rachbini is not affiliated with other members of the BOC, nor is he with members of the BOD and Controlling Shareholders.
